Squaw Valley is the gateway to two beautiful National Parks - Kings Canyon & Sequoia National Parks. Located just 23 miles from the entrance of Kings Canyon National Park, it is conveniently located on highway 180 and with easy access to local ammenities. Our motel features a pool and an outdoor kitchen, and all rooms have free wifi, DirecTV, coffee makers and flat screen tv's.
Originally built in 1950, the Squaw Valley Motel was one of the first motorcourts in California and provided lodging for tourists and visitors to the area's two national parks. We have remodeled and updated our facility while attempting to preserve the rustic character and ambiance of the original design.

Sequoia & Kings Canyon
Located just 23 miles from the Motel is Kings Canyon National Park. Weather proividing, you can follow the canyon through to Sequoia National Park as well (this route is typically closed in the winter months). There are abundant outdoor activities and sights within the parks.
Project Survival Cat Haven
Affectionately called "Cat Haven", this local non-profit lets you get up close to many rare and large cats. They also raise funds for conservation of cats in the wild. This amazing place offers many educational opportunites on wild cats inclduing: tours of their facilities, volunteer opportunities and more.
Local Eats
We are conveniently located near our local restaurants and coffee shop. Although our town is not large, we do have some wonderful places to grab a bite to eat before or after your adventures.
